Really well played all around! I enjoyed it, thanks for sharing.![]()
Sometimes It pays off to have a guitar player who knows how to mix. He spent an hour on this and it would have taken me days
For gear I have a $160 set of cheap CAD drum mics, and guitars were DI into their Helix boards which helped. It's a presonus series 3 mixer I have so we can use IEMs at jam. This video shows that inexpensive mics matter less than the guy doing the mixing. Even the placement of the mics was poor (setup by me and not him lol)
As far as the mix the Kick is triggered, but snare and toms are not. There was also no edits so there are a few flubs, and I also need to get my pinky fingers in check...yikes haha.
I'm doing heel toe on the kick for the fast bass drum runs.

Please use an ad blocker in edge or chrome before watching this as I am unsure if a YouTube Ad will play. I am not trying to make revenue from this site. I work in IT and highly recommend it regardless as it will skip YouTube's ads, popups, and some of the crazy targeted ads these days. I don't want to recommend a specific one as I don't want to be biased to one over another so Google it to find one to suit your needs (make sure it's a popular and reputable one).
