    Default What's my kit worth?

Pic taken about 30 minutes ago.

6-piece Pearl Export (about a '99 model). Slight imperfection (bubble) in one of the rack tom's cover. Purely cosmetic.

What would be a good price for the shell pack, that also included the hi-hat stand, Zildjian Shimitar hats, junk ride stand, and (old style) DW5000 Double bass pedals?

Also, what would be a good price for everything but the throne, the A-custom crash, and it's stand? (I just bought the A-custom on Saturday)

I'm seriously considering the 8pc Tama Rockstar shell pack from GC. Hence why I want to keep my cymbals and stands

    FYI

The Rockstar series has been discontinued and the kits available today are simply leftovers. Nothing wrong with this other than a new current series kit may be more satisfying for you. Also today the newer series kits have a better shell material.

As for your price I think $700.00 is high. Think about a new entry level kit selling for under $500.00 new and some of those come with hardware and cymbals. If your target buyer does some research he/she will know they can get a new kit in that price range.

Bottom line, ask $500 but take $400 if they haggle with you.

You might consider changing all og the heads so that they don't look worn and that will make the kit look newer and well cared for. I am not saying that your kit looks uncared for, but new heads always freshen the appearence.

I know, and that's OK with me. Discontinued = cheaper. I won't be able to tell a difference in shell material...I ain't that good! I don't even know what my shells are

Hmmm...I'm getting low-balled this time around.

I once sold a car for $50 and a 6 pc Chicken McNugget, so I obviously don't know the value of things. $700 w/most of the cymbals is low, isn't it??
I play Sonor Signature Series drums, Zildijian & Sabian cymbals.

$50 It's the only one we've got that is small enough to fit...but big enough for my set.

I thought $700 was at the upper limit myself. I bought the kit for $800 with 2 junk cymbals back in '99-'00.

ATC realistically that kit is worth $300 it is almost 10 years old and it was entry level then. I wouldn't expect to get too much more than that, honestly!

Pedals, throne and cymbals are worth twice as much as the drums. 300 for the drums, 400 max. Keep the hardware. Sell it all together, ........its only gonna get another hundred. You could give away your throne and not get any less.

I agree with Phrogge. Having just recently been in the market for a used set I think $700 would be a very reasonable price for everything but the new A-cust. You cant find a good used set with a decent set of cymbals and hardware for less. Look around craigslist, ebay, and some local stores and get a feel for what other kits are going for. New heads could get a few more bucks out of a perspective buyer.
