    Default Sonor and 2002 Pics!!!

I dont usually have my 2002's on my Sonor kit. It is usually adorned with Sig's Dimes, and Rudes...
But I thought I would bring my Sonor Phonic Plus kit (about half of it) down to my rehesal studio today, for a little fun.

Here is the list of whats in the pics...

    2002 14" Heavy Hi-Hat. (with Rude 3000 S.E. bottom)
    2002 17" Rock Crash.
    3000 8" Splash. (Rude)
    2002 18" Rock Crash.
    2002 10" Wild Splash.
    2002 19" Power Crash.
    2002 20" Power Bell Ride.
2002 18" Rock China. (4" accent mounted on top)
    2002 18" Rock Crash.

Gorgeous!!! Them Germans can make some drums, boy. Awesome looking cymbals. Stop keeping them so clean - I resent being shamed into having to clean mine.
I play Sonor Signature Series drums, Zildijian & Sabian cymbals.

I could not agree with you more... Germans are amazing engineers.
I have had my Phonic Plus set since I ordered it in 1987. I have not broken one piece. Not a hoop, not a tension rod... nothing.
Judging by your signature (pun)... you can probably appreciate that I have a beautiful 1987 ferro mag snare too!!

Not get off the net and clean your cymbals!! LOL.

Andreeew, the Dimensions series is discontinued. However, the 2002 rock series is almost the exact same thing.
The dimension series is still my favorite. I have a few dimes left... but I dont play them much. I plan on keeping them a long time.

    Stevo, thanks man... me too!

    32HB, thanks bro!

    Davie...
Quietly? Dude... you bang them as hard as you'd like man!

    Livewire...
They are Beech. And in these sizes, they are extremely hard to tune. However, after 20+ years of owning them, I got it down. They sound great and are VERY loud!

I would love to buy that kit. That kit is one of the reasons I play Sonor.
My Sonor kit is an exact duplicate of the pic above, only in black... and I use 22's not 24's.
I remember back in the day, there was a Sonor add with that kit... and Tommy said, Sonor is the only drum company, whos kit I would trust to go upside down with". Then he sold out to Pearl! I wanted to slap him. LOL.
Wasnt that kit owned/sold by his sister, Athena?

I believe you are right about the kit being owned and sold by his Sister Athena. I read that on another forum a couple of years ago if memory serves me right!
