Wow! you got all that for $360?? Great deal! The kit looks relatively new and in good shape. What series TAMAs are they? You will probably hate the Planet Z's. I got some with my kit and i hate em already! Cool head on the bass. How does it sound?

That is a great deal. The Planet Z's throw things off a bit, but what types of Saluda's were you given?

not too bad :> but all those holes means you may as well not have a front drum skin one of the tricks i learnt.... i still need to post a website for you lots. it tells you all about sound hole positioning and sizing :>

Haven't changed the front head yet. Still can't figure out what the purpose of all those holes are, but I will say it doesn't sound bad.

I think I need to spend time on that "tuning bible" i've seen some links for. The snare had a some rattle to it. I tightened up the lugs a bit and seemed to quiet it down a little but I didn't want to overtighten (if that's possible). I tightened up the toms a bit too, they seemed a bit loose but now they seem to have kind of a funny sound so I might have to go back and loosen them a little again.

have you got a torque key because i think iknow the point your at because i got stuck there too.

Its a point where the skin is just tight enough to resonate. but sounds nice and deep... I couldnt find another sweet spot to tune it until i got the torque key and now i have nice sounding toms tuned a bit higher than i had them before.... they feel and sound comfortable :>
