That first song is the one Shades Beneath had recorded, this version is much improved.
These recordings sound great.
This is my new band www.myspace.com/fetaljuicehush
Our recordings don't really sound too well as we were live recording, but they are good for now. Tell me what you think. Sorry for any little hiccups in my playing, we don't really rehearse past the basics.

32, I got a chance to listen to Deceived, and I really liked it! I will most certainly listen to the rest when I have a few more minutes. awesome job on the drums! I also like the band name, pretty funny take off from Beetle Juice! Once I get past the yuck factor, Fetal Juice kind of grows on ya!

Some more positive comments from me 32. I love the crunchy guitars and driving bass. Your drumming is very effective too and some nice classy fills. Were you using the Catalina for the recordings?
I play, Gretsch Catalina Birch, 7 piece in the vintage sunburst finish.
RIP, Frank. You will not be forgotten. Missing you, mate
Yea I was, does it sound different to you? Thanks for the comments, man.

Did I read your bulletin correctly? you recorded it with one mic?!!!??
Yea actually it was really funny what happened. Ever since we started recording, we would have issues with live play, so we used double tracking. The reason it took so long to get tracks up was because the double tracking sounded like crap.
So last night I devised this system of recording and where to place the mic and whatnot. So we ran one live recording and it sounded so clear so we just used it.

Well I don't know how you get such good sound with a single mic, where is it placed?
Nah, does not sound different 32 but with different recordings and mixings the sounds vary at times. Its got that nice Birch pop to it and sounds really good considering you used only one mic. You got those toms sounding nice and deep. Have you played live with the Catalina yet to any of those songs?

Sounds pretty good to me and, untill I read the story behind the banbd, I would not have guessed that you hadn't been playing drums for very long. good job!!
Shazane, after I cleaned up my playing space a little and moved the set, there was room across from the bass drum about four extra feet until the wall. My guitarist stuck his 150 watt amp against the wall where it had room and then the mic was placed probably ten inches from his amp. I was also suprised to hear how well it all sounded in the final product as we usually have loads of sound issues after live recording.
Livewire, yea I've taken them to all my shows, but to get that sound out of them in a back yard or banquet room as opposed to my small, dry wall office is sort of difficult at times. I usually loosen up the resos and tighten my batters, not much, but just enough to hear the openness and punch of the birch shell. Thanks again for the compliments!
