    Default bassdrum help

I can't seem to get my bassdrum loud enough. I have a tama swingstar, not sure of the size, with a remo pinstripe batter head and a stock resonant head. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    nothing inside no?? baffled mate!
try playing with the beater off the head, meaning once you strike the head have the beater released from the skin immedatly after impact, this will give you a bigger sound any how? steve smith uses this technique if you want to chec it out.. plus he explains it in his DVD
