Not sure of the conversion, but for the entry level cymbal, the Paiste (in my opinion) are better than most.
I have a 101 16" crash, and plan on keeping it when I add some more. It has a fast decay, but not a bad sound for the money.
If you can go with PST5 series do it, but if not, at least get the PST3.

PST 3 will be more economical than 101 I think.....
More quality with few adding price....
