    Welcome midgard, way to slam the djumbe, do you play the kit too, or do you only play hand drums?

    Thanks backtodrum! I am afraid I pretty much only play hand drums/auxilary percussion like the conga, djembe, bongos, shaker, bell, etc. The closest I get to a kit is having a foot pedal mounted jam block to play along with the hand drums. Everytime I look at the kit, my wife cringes! So for now, I am working on developing my non-kit percussion skills.

    Hey, bro'--don't ever be ashamed of playing "only hand drums." Hand drummers like us can--and do--get some pretty tasty sounds out of two or three congas, a pair of bongos, etc.... If you prefer slappin' the skins to thumpin' the tubs, it's still percussion and it's all good...
