    Default Searching for Drum Tabs

I wondered if anyone knew any good websites for getting drum tabs. Ive heard internet tabs for drums can be unreliable and seen this for myself. Sometimes in songs it can be hard to hear drum parts, the bass drum in most circumstances. How do people feel is the best way to learn songs on the drums, by ear or tabs? Any advice would be appreciated.

Drum tabs are the hardest tabs to find, because most drum parts are either too simple to bother tabbing or too complicated for anyone to tab.

911tabs.com is the best place to look, it searches other sites as well and links to to wherever it finds the tab, if it does.

To most accurately learn a song, you should find a good tab and compare it to the song to see if anything seems completely wrong, if it does then learn it the way you hear it.

Check the drum tabs database also. They link to all the drumtab sites on the net.

I've had a hard time finding drum tab as well. Right now I'm looking for 3 songs my daughter has to learn for her band.

    Crazy on you- Heart
    Seven nation army- White Stripes
    Love me dead- Ludo

I cannot find these and I tried The Drum Bum link as well as ttabs. If anyone can help out with these songs let me know.

By the way, she had her concert a couple of weeks ago and it went great. She started a new Rock Clinic today. This time it's an all girls band. Should be a lot of fun!

    Thanks!

Most drum tabs are decent, but not always very accurate.
I would recomend using tabs as a reference material instead. Listen to the song and really pay attention to the beat, and if there is a part that is questionable look up a tab for it and review that specific part

I learn by ear, its the easiest method for me.
but every once in a while i'll whip out a tab to see whats goin on

I agree with the above poster.
A reliance on tabs will slow you down and lead you to making mistakes, and seeing as you don't get trial and error from using a tab you won't learn anything new.

Same thing with reading actual music, IMHO!

Yeah, to an extent...but the thing is with sheet music is that it's usually always right, OR you usually find it in a book that explains something new, like new rhythms from a different style of drumming...I also find that it's a lot easier to read than tab.

But I still wouldn't buy a songbook for a band, even if it was in music notation.

Yea, your right. I just told her that the other night, that she needs to try it by ear first and then if she has trouble check the tab. I just wanted to have it ready for her if she needs it.
Her instructor has told her the same thing. Good advice.
