Both of those are cool, just because you don't see either one very often.
First is my Taiwan special, when I posted my kit I received a few comments on this. Cost about $200, sounds great, to buy hardware alone would easy cost double. Sorry for the bar dirt, should clean before photos lol
Second is an old Slingerland Radio King. I bought it from Songbird Music in Ottawa a bunch of years ago, I think for $225, since I refinished with a rattlecan laquer, Gibraltar die cast hoops and I sand blasted and painted the lugs. Snare is 7X14 and I approximated the age to around 1947, if anyone knows different I am all ears.

I think it is called a Supra, detail is amazing, lug insulators, nylon lug screw washers, hand hammered bronze shell....
The story at Steve's music in Toronto; Recording act comes in (told me who but I did not recognize or remember the name) and drops about 6 grand, buys all the 4 inch snares in the store, Yammy, DW, Gretsch, etc. They go in studio and end up using this brand, cheapo, for the recording.
I think it may come out of the same factory as the pacific's.
