The new versions came out in 2007 I think.

I have the new series Rolling Glide Double Pedal with Cobra Coil. Its a joy to play, very smooth action and infinitely adjustable. The left pedal has never 'crept' on me and they feel very durable. Plus the carry case is a real bonus :-)

I've been playing with the Iron Cobra Power Glide single pedal since 2003. It is an amazing pedal that is extremely fast and quiet. It is not listed as having the Cobra Coil and that may be because it is the Power Glide model and not the Rolling Glide model. The Power Glide utilizes a double chain on the cam where the other model uses plastic instead. In either case, I doubt that you would have any regret with any one of these babies. The carrying case is a great item to have as well. ENJOY!!

yes the carrying case would be a definite must-have
some times i move my kit around alot between band practices and my old pedal kinda just gets thrown around

Hola como estas PEARLDRUMMER13 CREATIVE ARTISTIC ARTIST DRUMMER(CAT) their is Very little difference with the Feel ,I really Love the
feel of THE IRON COBRA HP900PTW DOUBLE POWER GLIDE and the power glide does NOT HAVE THE COIL SPRING (SYSTEM) but you can add this FEATURE to the power glide,THE THING is TO play them BOTH ,I really
feel that your going to be very Happy with the HP900PTW -POWER GLIDE **
in fact for me since the HP900PTW -POWER GLIDE does Not have the COIL it
seems BETTER,But I do use both THE POWER GLIDE & the ROLLING GLIDE **
    GRACIAS

It is all about personal preference when it comes down to it. Essentially (as I'm sure you know by now) the function of the cobra coil is to facilitate the pedal board back to its original position enabling smoother playing. I have found this to be a wonderful feature however it must be said that the Cobra pedals without the Cobra Coil (Power and Flexi Glide) are both adjustable and any drummer out there will find a suitable set up with any three of them. Its all about what you prefer the most.
