    ere use either acoustic cymbals whilst using eletric drums or eletic toms whilst using acoustic snare and cymbals? Could you tell me how or if it works?

    yes and yes. its just a matter of micing and mixing to produce a natural sound between the two.

    how do you mean [if it works]?
    I use an acoustic snare and hi hats with my electronic kit , you need to use an audio microphone on the snare and for cymbals you will need a condensor microphone, this condensor mike will need phantom power, usually supplied by the pre mixer or board then just run it into the amp/speakers and blend the sounds. I have an akg c1000 which can supply its own phantom power.

    Yes it works and its just a matter of mix and match.

    Lots of people love using real cymbals live and im with that option too. Im not so sure about acoustic toms. Sure you could use them. But set your electronics up right you can get a better sounding snare through your electronics anyway.

    What kind of brain you using on your electric kit?

    well at the moment i jst have a DTXplorer but im looking to upgrade as when i bought this electro kit it was jst for rehersals but now im looking for an electro kit for gigging to

    why not an acoustic kit for gigging? Or do you have a more specific reason for gigging on electrics *IE electronic sound for your band*
