Roland VH 11 This is my favorite HH setup ! Rubber has the least noise when struck and when playing quiet this is important.

Close up of the controller on the HH stand. It is triggered by the motion of the cymbals movement like an acoustic !!

It would depend on what type of brain your using. From what i know, the 2 trigger cymbals are run with a balanced cable (stereo) and the triple triggers with a stereo and mono.... (or some would be a special triple cable but i haven't ever seen one) Now my understanding would be that the stereo cable would be understood as one pad... so a 2 trigger cymbal would be interperated as one pad and the samples are applied accordingly. But i would imagine when you get a tripple pad with 2 cables (one stereo one mono) you could plug the stereo one in and run crash cymbals then use the mono (Generally the bell of the cymbal) to run the sample of a cowbell or something else etc.

Hopefully thats a bit more insite.
