Great job Susan. The beats sounded fine to me. You could take this as far as you wanted to go. I don't hear anything to indicate that the talent isn't there.

Now WHAT were you telling us about not having any talent???

While it looked like one of SWD's vids on my monitor (on the dark side!), it sounded like you were havin' a great time! As Andreeew commented, those opening grooves on the high-hat were fantastic!

    I'm proud of ya!

I tell it like it is dc, so here we go.

    count off, great.
    tempo, solid.
    groove , bang on.
    fills, tasty
hi hat control and subdivision of time, excellent.

    things to work on,
having belief in yourself that you are a natural drummer. and think of the entire piece you are playing and what it means to you. use dynamics.
thats it in a nutshell, well done and dont ever stop playing.

I've got a fever. And the only prescription is more cowbell.

Not quite--what it needed was a bongo player! You set the beat, and I'd just jam along with ya!!!

It is hard to play electric drums then jump on acoustics they are different critters that take some time to change your technique. The HH on electric kits are the worst part and Sue was puttin the smack down on that acoustic HH groove !!

I think You been practicing ! You ain't foolin us !

Hey DC! Great job on the vid. I have to agree with everyone else when I say that after hearing those pretty sweet funk beats you were laying down, I can't quite see why you were doubting yourself. Everyone thinks they'll be able to just grab some sticks and naturally sound great, but it takes time and practice. You've got nothing to worry about sister! Keep on rockin!

That’s why I love jumping on an acoustic kit every chance I get….. I love a real HH, I can get my groove on better with a real HH, my e-kit’s HH isn’t as groovy I actually just made that groove up as I sat down last night at the acoustic, it just came to me. I’ll have to try it on my e-kit now to see if it sounds as good LOL

Hey DC... I watched the vid at work and got a slightly better view...nice ball cap, by the way. Also, you bounce around on the drum throne pretty well too That was pretty darn good! Now, you are knowing the fun that I have when I sit behind my drums and just start laying down a groove. Keep it up, Sue and always have fun.
