Default Which dbl. pedal is the best

Im considering getting the pearl emlinator, tama iron cobra, dw 5000, dw 8000, or maybe even the great dw 9000. I know all those pedals are great for speed, smoothness, and comforte. I know Daniel Erlanderson uses elimators and Paul Botasph( sorry for the spelling) uses dw 9000s. I have very small feet. I'm 14 but I were I size 7.5. If you have expirence or reccomendations, please help me out.

I've played on most of thoes pedals
The DW 8000 and 9000 are awesome
Super smooth, everything you'd expect from Drum Workshop

But I just recently bought a new Iron Cobra Power Glide
And I can't say enough good things about this pedal
I like it better than the DW's

I definitly recomend Tama's Iron Cobra to you

    hope this helps

The Iron Cobra is in my opinion better than the DW9000 for a lower price. The Eliminators are great if you need something cheaper, but the Iron Cobra is a better pedal, less friction, more versatile, nearly everything on it can be adjusted.

I don't honestly think there's a "best" pedal in general, it's what feels best to you. If you have a local drum shop that displays various makes and models (my local store does for instance) and you can try several different ones out, that will help you tremendously. It's as personal as drum or cymbal selection, as alluded to by SWD .

Most of the time people will recommend what they use, because they love what they have, but that doesn't mean that pedal will be the best one for you. I did try about 6 of them out at my drum shop several months ago, and felt that the Pearl Elims were best suited to me. And they're about as infinitely adjustable as anything I've seen. They are probably the smoothest pedals I've ever used. But tension adjustments, foot board length, strap vs chain vs direct drive, are all things you need to consider. Some people put more pressure on a pedal when they play, some play heel up, some heel down, etc.

It's not something you can take strictly on recommendation because your own style is completely your style, and your best friend can say one brand/style is the absolute best out there and you might try it and feel that it's crap to you. Opinions are fine, and everyone is more than willing to give you theirs, but trying them out will help you to form your own opinion, which is the only one that really matters.

Please let us know what you do decide to purchase, and how you arrive at your decision.

The best double I have played is another single pedal on a second bass drum.

Seriously though, like the wise viking man Norske said, go try every pedal you can find. I cannot stand the Pearl or DW pedals, but I think the IC is nice for a non-direct drive pedal. I had my Axis pedals set up as a double for a while with no complaints at all. But the Axis, and Trick, are hella-expensive. When I have the funding I will be looking into a double pedal (which means I will need a single bass kit) and I will probably go with the Gibraltar Intruder direct drive pedal.

Again, go try them out yourself even if it is a hassle to do.

i agree with Norske, what ever pedal feels the best to you is the pedal to buy! You are going to receive as varied advice about which pedal is best as you will the number of pedal manufactures.

its all about what feels right to you man
i personally hate the large swing of the iron cobras
and im a huge fan of dw 8000 and 9000s
so my best advice is to go to a store
and play on as many as they will let you
im saving up for my 9000s though =]
