Can you post some picture ??
i am cleaning mine now (Z Armand's, they are not brilliant finish)
the really dark "gold" spots...is that oxidation? i smoke too, but i can't imagine that being what this is from.
i have went over one twice w/ trick cymbal polish and still see some of the spots, although faintly now.
it annoys me...some help, if possible!!!
thanks - luddy

I had good luck with Zildjian cleaning polish. It might take a little elbow grease, but it works good.

I tried Groove Juice a few years ago. I put a cymbal on the tile kitchen counter and sprayed away. This stuff actually ate the glaze off of the tile. So if you use Groove Juice BE CAREFUL!
Yeah, Groove Juice is some strong stuff. I didn't think it worked that good as advertised though. I cleaned some heavily tarnished cymbals with some Tarn-X one time and it worked wonders immediately, just like in the commercials. The cymbals didn't have the logos on it anymore, so I don't if it would remove them, I would assume so, but nonetheless, it worked immediately. Wear a pair of household rubber gloves, apply some Tarn-X to a soft cloth and wipe down the cymbal or the tarnished area, rinse the cymbal in cold water then wipe dry. For lighter duty general cleaning, the Zildjian cleaning polish works well.

Lemon juice?

I have heard lemon juice and salt works, never tried it
