Welcome to Drum Chat Roadhogg!
I'm trying to remember who it is, but I'm pretty sure there is someone who's relatively new who had a Westbury kit.

Westbury's are stencil kits, same as Pulse, CMT's, CB700s, Greatch Nighthawks, entry level Ludwig Accents, Pacific EZ, Percussion Plus, Sunlite, the list goes on and on. They are not bad drums but they are entry level kits, and almost exactly the same shells and hardware. I think they are all made in the same Asian factory as well and then branded by what ever company purchases them for resale.
Walmart quality at Target prices, very popular in Canada in the 80's and 90's
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!

"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away." --Henry David Thoreau, "Walden," 1854
"There's a lot to be said for Time Honored tradition and value." --In memory of Frank "fiacovaz" Iacovazzi

Westbury...Of Course...As Canadians, we were treated to those early on, (about 70's onward). Little known fact; they are made by Pearl, and are a very reasonable starting set.
all the best...
here in Ontario, Canada there is a kit for sale every day....inexpensive entry level.....parents buy them and the kid(s) lose interest........generally you need to upgrade the heads and you will have a reasonably good kit.....also will want to upgrade the cymbols......was looking to buy one myself, but my neighbour's kids donated their old kit which I restored......and spent way too much........can be had around from$250 to $450.
