    Default Paiste Alpha Rock

    I'm Very new to drumming i just had my first lesson. I have the planet z's that came with my set and they sound very bad no matter hoe i hit them. im thinking up upgrading to paiste alpha rock. i'm gonna order the hi hat this week and the crash and ride next week. any sugesstions or insight thanks

    If it were me, I'd go for the 2oo2 series for only a couple bucks more. The Alphas IMO don't sound much different than the PST5 or any other entry level cymbal. They are good though for if you're tight on money, and some pros still use them on their set.

    K thanks for the insight. money is not realy a issue i was thinking about just ordering the rude wild's that way i'll be set for a long while

    My advice on cymbals is always to listen the them first if there's any way you can do that. I do have a couple of Alpha crashes, and I like them a lot. I've never heard the hats though.

    Alpha came with nice sounds and nice value...

    So upgrading from Planet Z into Alpha, that sure a good choice....

    I've got an 18" Alpha china and 14" Alpha SE hats. Both sound awesome and the price wasn't bad either. Paiste stuff is ridiculous anyway but these were very reasonable...a good purchase.
