    Default Groove Juice?

    Hi everyone,
Ok, so I have the Zildjian cymbal cleaner but it takes me more than 30+ minutes to clean each cymbal and after about 5 days it starts rusting. I recently heard about groove juice and it sounded like less work. What exactly do you need to clean each cymbal with this stuff? Does it remove the logo?

    1. Yes, it will remove your logo, so go around the logo.

    2. It will definitely put a shine on your cymbals, but it will strip the coating off newer
coated cymbals. So, don't use it on new Zildjian A Customs, for instance.

    3. Never use it on the lower end cymbals - ZBT, ZHT, B8's, etc, because it
    will damage those cymbals.

I have the ZBT cymbals. How will it damage them?

Nik, I have Groove Juice, and it says right on the bottle not to use on coated cymbals, or budget cymbals. I assume the acidic solution eats the coating and doesn't work well with the alloy of the "budget cymbals."

It will eat the glaze of your kitchen tile counter top. Be Careful!

Yes this is the voice of experiance ;-(

Also a coat of carnuba based car wax after will keep them looking good for a long time and will not effect the sound.

Wow, really? I've never heard of waxing your cymbals. Has anyone else tried this?

Not me. I use Paiste cymbal polish, sparingly, and it cleans my cymbals without removing the Logo. I just make sure that I do not scrub that part. Never ocurred to me to want to polish them. I towel dry my cymbals and buff them with the towel. Looks good to me.

I have been doing it for years. I clean my cymbals about every 6 months and I gig with them all the time. Give it a try, I am sure you will love it.
