    Default Yamaha Gigmaster Kits

    Hi there.

After a long lay off, I am thinking of starting playing again. Not looking for anything mega expensive, but reasonable quality and reliable hardware. The Yammy Gigmaster look to be good prices, but has anyone got any experience of them. Can't find any independent reviews of them.

    Cheers

this may not be what you're looking for at all, but i saw Traps Drums in a catalog recently...i like what i see. look at them online and see what you think.

i'd love to have some (they come with a rack, pedals, even cymbals if you choose the option) as a 2nd kit. just an idea...i've yet to play them in a store to hear them, but you can hear a demo online too, to get a general idea.

    Ludwig Classic Maple Drums (22" x 14", 13" x 9", 16" x 16", 14" x 5")

    Zildjian A Armand Cymbals (14" hats, 20" ride, 16" thin crash, 16" medium-thin crash, 10" splash)

    Ludwig, Zildjian, Remo, Promark.

I have talked to a guy that owned one and he said that some of the lugs on all of the drums would loosen after a while of playing on them. But as a kit getting back into drumming i wouldn't see that as being a big problem for you.

I have that now with some kits. I don't think that is a problem with this particular kit.
