    Default Double Bass Exercises

I was wondering if any of you knew good double bass exercises that will help me to be better all-around at it. The bass is my weakest point. I'm also experimenting with heel-toe, so if you guys know any good heel-toe exercises that would be great too! Thank you!

Learn the rudiments and play them with your feet. Then alternate that with your hands.

I've been at that for years. Slow and painful, here.

being a succesful musician has nothing to do with being signed, popular or making alot of money. It has to do with making great music.

Master of the syncopated rhythm, the gravity blast, and seamless drastic tempo and time signature changes. As well as absolutely unbelievable stamina and speed, with flawless coordination throughout.

true that, but my personal favourite double bass drummers are Dave Lombardo, Marthus and Chris Adler

crazydrummer: Metal sounds like someone is rampaging through a pig pen with a machine gun....

Shazane: They are firing that machine gun at a perfect 380 BPM in 7/8, while the agonized screams of the pigs are flawlessly harmonizing arpeggios at 20 notes per second.

Thanks for the link, cool stuff. There was also a series of double bass exercises about a year ago in Modern Drummer. What I like about the link you gave us it the 16 week format. There is a line in the sand, do it this way for this long and you will see results.

I used to play a lot of double bass when I was younger but have gotten away from it in the past 5 years or so. I just started really working on double bass again. I am loving it.
I am starting on these exercises tomorrow.

    Thanks again
