Default paiste 1000, 2000, 3000, and other discontinued lines.

ok gear heads i need help. i run into the fallowing lines of paiste cymbals for uber cheep on eBay the 1000 series, the 3000 series, i haven't actually seen a 2000 series yet but i know they exist. 602, 802, and every once in a while dementshon. well i have a dementshon ride, so i know i like the ride form that line but i need some help figgureing out the others. if you've played them and they compare to another line just tell me what line and ill listen to some of those.
ive herd the 1000s are basically relabeled 2002s,
the 3000s are inter rudes of sigs, im not sure if either of those are true.
802s have the same logo as old alphas so i think those are the same, but as for the rest im at a loss.
play till the day i die. it makes more sense that way.

I don't have any current experience with Paiste's so I can't comment but thought this post had sat too long without any comment.

Back in the 80's and 90's, Paiste had the 1000, 2000, and 3000's. The 1000's were entry level. The 2000's were mid-line, and the 3000's were the top-of-the-lines!! When they stopped making them, they came out with the Signature series as their top-line. The 3000's were renamed 2002's (that you find in the stores today.) Other lines such as 404's were "student" levels. Hope that helps some....
