Are you saying that it would never happen because percussionists are smarter than . . . well you know what they say.
And speaking of triangles for us percussionists, PB.....you'll never hear this:
Percussionist 1: Hey man! Check what I saw in the new LP catalogue?
Percussionist 2: What?
Percussionist 1: The new Airto Moreira Artist triangle. It comes with an optional extra side.
Percussionist 2: Hey dummy....
Percussionist 1: What did ya call me?
Percussionist 2: Fool! They're trying to sell you a square! Add the sides up??? An equilateral triangle plus another equal side makes????
Percussionist 1: Oh....

Hey...could you move off to the side, I can't see the crowd.
Most definitely. As a matter of fact, there will be "NO LIMIT"... just an unending quagmire of musical genius.
Loved that one, drumbledore...
how about this one?
"Hey roadie! Could you flip over my floor tom? I want to even out the wear between the batter and the reso heads..."
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!

"Dont worry guys, I'll pack the lights and the PA, you guys get out of here and have a good nights sleep."
How about doing the last set solo/acoustic?
Who needs drums, there just loud and irritating overgrown pieces of firewood. everybody knows percusion in general sucks anyway.

"So, you're offering me a free 10-piece custom-finished DW set, with Zildjian A Custom cymbals? Thanks, but I think I'll stick with my CB kit and the stock cymbals."
You know that guy, you where talkin to him the other day. Yup, his name was Pat Aflafla.
It's not just hitting the drums. It's how you hit them, where you hit them, what you hit them with and when you hit or do not hit them. How many other instruments require the use of all four external limbs? Most guitarists can't count to four.
I wish I could say this:
"I think that I've got enough snares.I can only play one at a time, right?"
"Give my free beers to the bass player."
" Don't worry. I'll change the beat for you after the bridge".
This drum case has too much padding.

I think the Steel Guitar may be the most difficult instrument to become truly proficient on. After that, I think Piano, Drums (full set) & Bagpipes are all tied for the second most difficult. Trombone, any stringed instrument without frets & Harp probably tied for the next position. I don't know how scientific this is, it just seems right to me considering exactly what's involved for each. That's not to say ANY instrument is easy. They all require dedication (time). Then there's always the "individual" factor, one might progress faster on the guitar than the harmonica and another, visa versa. Feedback ???
