perhaps someone can help me (re: MIDI interface)

Hi All,

well, i got myself a USB-> MIDI cable (HOSA which comes with Turtle Beach sotware)...

the DD-55 accepts a "sound check" from TB software, so i think i have things connected properly...

the DD-55 however uses a software pack from Yah. (Song Filer)...

i keep getting errors when i try to get that software to talk nice to the DD-55; i DID download a yah. specific driver which comes up as an option when i try to have the SongFiler software look for the dd-55...

just does not work... get various erros depending on the options i pic, but things like the below show up:

- Device used by another (close other applications) --> as far as i can tell, nothing else is using the MIDI

or

it starts to "confirming" process only to give this error:
"Data transfer failed: confirm instrument is connected" --> it is!

perhaps i just will not be able to crack this nut...

Have you tried calling Yamaha's tech support? They are usually really cool people. Give me a day or so and I'll crack it for you. The dd-55....you going from the midi "out" or "in" ??? (sorry I had to ask)
