    Question Thin cymbals?

    Hi everyone,
    Do thin cymbals crack more easily than normal cymbals?

    I would think the answer would be yes,but i've yet to crack one myself.
    Mapex m birch,black forest cherry,sabian,zildjian cymbals,big dog,pearl pedals,yamaha electric kit.

    Splashes do; bigger cymbals generally not, if you mount them right so they have plenty of movement. Marching sticks on thins, however. . .
    And the trees are all kept equal by hatchet, axe, and saw. . .

    I think not. The thin will bend before breaking. Kinda like drag racing axels made to flex so they don't break

    also i would think you would crack a thicker cymbal before a thin one.
