Drum transcription, a video lesson
Nick Marcy is drum instructor and player in Round Rock, TX. The two of us are from upstate N.Y. and were students at the Tony Monforte School of Modern Drumming in the early 1960's. Nick went on to study at Berlee then on the road with bands throughout the 70's. He is the author of several method books and devotes his time to teaching and playing.
This lesson is on how to approach difficulties with transcriptions. Hope you like.

Re: Drum transcription, a video lesson
Thanks for posting that Frank. I liked that groove he was playing .
Something I picked up on in the video too was his cymbal crashes , being that we have had several broken cymbal stories recently .
If anyone else having broken a cymbal watched this guy , notice he wasnt beating the snot out of that cymbal and still ended up with a real nice crash .
That was a real good demo.
