After a brief introduction of himself, Mike starts from the very first step by demonstrating how to properly hold drum sticks and leads us into the 3 major hand grips... Germanic, American, French... and their applications. Throughout the DVD, Mike has interspersed vivid examples of these playing techniques that will inspire all.

In the chapter on Finger Control, Mike will show you how to exercise the fingers and use them to their fullest advantage. You will want to watch this carefully because, as he points out, this is for speed.

It is at this point that Mike begins his discussion on the Moeller Technique. He will show you how to properly use the three applications: The Low Moeller stroke, The Half Moeller stroke and the Full Moeller stroke. Along with this, he will also demonstrate how to use the sub-divisions of the stroke as related to the Down stroke, the Tap stroke and the Up stroke. Not only are his explanations always clear and precise, Mike also takes us bebind his drums and shows exactly, with printed music, how to play various exercises and patterns defined by the strokes. Since this is an Inter Active DVD, you can print these sheets for reference and study.

The entire package contains two DVDS: Instructional and Motivational. For motivation, the 2nd DVD is packed full of original drum solos by Mike which will bring home to you the fullest application of all this technique....perfect viewing for when there is nothing good on the tube.
