    Default Hi hats gone haywire

Im in the market for a new set of hats, because im selling my B8s with my old kit, and was hoping for some help.

I want something with a very distinct "chick" when it is hit closed, and i dont want it to rattle on eachother, just a clean chick, i liked the B8 alot, but i figure i will have the money, why not upgrade

Paiste Sound Edge are available in many of their lines. They certainly have your 'distinctive chick'. Also Zildjian Master Sound hats are good as well and are available in at least a couple of their lines (A and K I believe but not sure). Just some thoughts for you.

    Peace and chicken grease!

Keep in mind Bospherous and Istanbul cymbals. Also Meinl and UFIP. Shop around and take your time, dont rush. That is what I will be doing when upgrading my cymbals
I play, Gretsch Catalina Birch, 7 piece in the vintage sunburst finish.

RIP, Frank. You will not be forgotten. Missing you, mate

i planned on getting paragon hats when i got the 22"ride but the ones i played didnt match up very well with the ride IMO and were a bit chunky for me. the reason i went with the quickbeats was that they paired up perfect with the paragon ride.

They have a nice chick to them closed
but i play mostly hardcore/deathcore stuff

so most of the time mine are very slightly open
giving me awesome range and projection (mine are the mastersounds)

but i absolutely love my A's to death
I would highly recommend these to anyone and everyone

Actually the Zild ZBT hi hats have a very clear cutting "chick" they sound pretty good for the money. Not much other body in them tho.
