Istanbul AGOP Mel Lewis signature...these are hand made, Turkish cymbals very much like the old Istanbul K's. The ride is a 21" Big Band with two sizzles that cuts through nicely and has that smokey - dry sound with great stick definition. The hats are the 14" with bottom at 1007 grams and top at 837 grams. Nice dry chick and the real vintage sound. I can get a subtle ride that won't get in the way of that ballad or vocal.

how are the hats when they are opened?

Depends on why you would want them opened. With these light grams these are not for heavy hand playing.

Wow man... im presently wiping the drool off my keyboard... how much did that ridiculous 21 incher cost??
