To borrow from the bandleader for whom I've played percussion at several "Latin Night" concerts over the years: "Dancing to (robotic) music is like kissing your sister." In the original context, he was referring to the annoying trend of using recorded music for concert entertainment, dancing, etc., but it fits here as well, IMHO...
