    Default Lessons With Nick

From time to time I've mentioned Nick Marcy...drum pro and instructor in Round rock, TX outside of Austin, TX. Nick and I came from the same area in New York and studied with Tony Monforte. Nick had gone on to further his studies at Berklee in Boston and has spent all his life playing and teaching. Always wanting to make people think, Nick pushes the edge with his drumming. He has published three drum books in recent years, each of which has been reviewed in Modern Drummer; and I can tell you that they aren't the easiest to deal with. His most recent publication in Solo Drumset and herein is a video lesson taken from that book with Nick Marcy as your host and guide.

Yes, I have a copy of each. Nick sends me a "Proof" copy. Be sure that you check his web site nicksdrumstudio.com. He has a lot of interesting information as well as sample lessons from his books. His material is not the easiest but certainly helps to make drummers think more musically about their drums.
