Now that I've eaten the thick cut bacon regular just don't cut it anymore.

I agree. I don't even buy pre-packaged bacon any more. I go to the butcher block and get it there. It's only a few cents more per pound. When the blonde lady is working the counter, she always throws in a few extra slices! They always have black pepper bacon and applewood smoked bacon. Thick cut. Yummy.

My Butchers is excellent, they insist I stay for a cup of tea and a biscuit when I go there.
It's not unusual to be invited to go and make toast for myself in the back room either.

For my birthday present they gave steak, sausages and the most amazing
thick cut, smoked bacon.

True..the bacon in the butcher glass is usually cheaper than the packaged stuff and better tasting. Sometimes I ask the butcher what brand it is. Some stores use Krause or Swift Premium.
