oh ok U have your heel off the plate right and you get a double or a repeat bounce'hit? correct?
if that is it, it is most likely your spring tension,
also check that the front of the kick drum is lifted off the floor by the spurrs this is often overlooked by newbies.
sry Im thinking you are a newbie with this question.

opps sorry now I get it Thanks ! of those days
usually too much tension, check your action too, are you lifting your foot/toes , off the plate, and do you smack the beater into the head and leave it there until the next hit?

I just adjusted spring tention & its gone . Also put my throne up 1 in. Thank you, knew you guys would solve problem. Now can you do somthing for these old bones lol
Check the spring tension, the head tension and the angle of the beater.
If the spring is too tight you tend to hit harder and for a longer duration which could cause "double-tap."
Too tight of a batter head and the beater will tend to bounce. (If you are using a hard beater, try switching to the felt side.)
Also, if the beater isn't hitting flat or flush that could rebound at an angle causing "vibration" of the entire pedal.
Just some ideas.
