The Duallist range of drum pedals includes the most innovative and creative pedal we've ever produced the Duallist TRIPLE. As well as providing all of the great functions of the Duallist DOUBLE pedal you get a left foot pedal linked to a third beater. This enables you to play fast bass drum rolls as well as using the left foot to punctuate the right foot rhythm. The right foot can play single pedal patterns with just one beater and then kick into double mode for great double beater patterns - all with one foot. Then you can add in a left foot pattern in triple mode for mind-blowing bass drum rhythms.

    -Tough DupontTM ZytelTM engineering polymer
-Fast heel operated SpeedSwitch for singles and doubles
-Extra left pedal provides third beater operation
-Individually adjustable tension springs for power
-Adjustable spring clamps for power and beater angle
-High strength Kevlar super belt adjustable for throw
-Unique double-belt design with adjusters on footplate
-Sliding drum clamp to adjust drum distance
    -Beater power individually adjustable
    -Solid chassis and robust linkages
-Close beater line-up hits the 'sweet spot'
-Around half the weight of conventional double pedals
The only pedal to provide SINGLE, DOUBLE and TRIPLE sounds in one!

You'll be amazed how useful that extra beater can be especially in advanced Rock patterns and Funk.
“Creatively speaking, no pedal has ever offered me more possibilities, more avenues, to be as forward thinking.’’

I am Left Handed/Footed what about me?
Where Can I Get The Duallist?
    How Does The Duallist Work?
    ****************************
The Duallist has two beaters. The right beater strikes when the footboard is pressed down, the left beater strikes when the footboard is released. It's as simple as that. No heel toe action no gimmicks.

What If I Want To Play Singles?
No problem. The Duallist features the Speedswitch system which allows switching between doubles and singles in an instant. The levers are positioned left and right of the heel so it is not necessary to remove your foot from the pedal at any time. Simply click the left lever with your heel to select singles and click the right lever with your heel, to select doubles.

Can I Switch During A Song?
Yes. There is no interruption to the pattern you are playing. The Duallist changes between single and double mode quickly and easily.

Does The Left Beater Strike As Loud As The Right?
Yes. It's all a matter of momentum. With any double pedal you will notice that momentum is a key element in creating double bass rhythms. When playing a conventional double pedal many drummers find it necessary to re-train their balance to be able to play both pedals and keep up the momentum. A common complaint when playing double bass patterns on either double bass drums or double pedal is that the leading foot strikes harder or louder than the other foot. However when playing The Duallist your balance is not affected, allowing you to play with a good momentum. The left beater of The Duallist mirrors the action of the right beater, so whatever momentum you create with the right beater the left beater will copy. To learn more click here to read about the Science of The Duallist.

    Can I Play Triplets?
Yes. Triplets can be played in a few ways, some examples are: RLR which on The Duallist would be a movement of down up down, or LRR which on The Duallist simply requires you to play a swift double. In this case the left beater will strike on the upstroke as you go to play the double giving you LRR. There are many more phrases that can be played with ease including six stroke shuffles, continuous shuffles, broken 16ths and flams. Combinations of all of these can be easily mastered widening your vocabulary of chops overnight!!!
For more details, see the video page

What If I Want To Use The Duallist In My Percussion Setup? Can I Play It Standing Up?
The Duallist is the only double bass pedal which can be easily operated whilst standing up.

Can I Play It On An Electronic kit?
Yes. The Duallist can be used on all types of electronic bass pads and triggers whether you are using upright or inverted beaters.

What Is The Duallist made of? Is It Strong?
Very strong!! The Duallist is engineered from super tough Dupont Zytel ® engineering polymer which is an extra heavy duty material used widely in industrial situations including the automotive industry. Dupont Zytel ® is not prone to cracking like the metal castings used in conventional bass pedals and benefits from being light in weight too!!!

HOLA como estas Mi amigo JADK'S_ART CREATIVE ARTISTIC OPEN MINDED DRUMMER ARTIST(CAT) HERE is SOME FACTS INFO(KNOWLEDGE)**GRACIAS

    A DRUMMER'S PERSPECTIVE
When playing 16ths notes on any kind of double pedal set up the main importance is to keep up the momentum. On any bass pedal you will notice that by "bouncing" your foot somewhere around just below center of the footplate you can build up much faster and more accurately spaced beats, we will call this area of the footplate the "sweetspot". The foot moves a smaller distance but the overall leverage and force of the "swing" are not compromised because of the momentum you have gathered. It is a combination of this momentum, and the fact that a smaller foot movement leaves less space for error, that enables drummers to play fast and accurate 16ths.

The same principal is applied whilst playing The Duallist. By finding the "sweetspot" on the footboard you will be able to create 16ths notes simply by playing 8ths.

This is my preferred method of playing regardless of whether I am playing double bass drum or single bass drum patterns, however it is not necessary to adopt this technique as I have found that The Duallist can be played flat footed or heel up. Its simply a matter of preference.

Triplets can actually be played in a number of ways : just as you would with your hands. Some examples are RLR, LRL, LRR etc. - and would be played on The Duallist in movements of Down Up Down, Up Down Up, and Up Down Down, respectively.

By experimenting I have discovered that the last one of these (Up Down Down) simply requires your foot to play a fast double as you would on a conventional single pedal. What happens is that the upwards motion of your foot will create a beat before the double giving you three beats. i.e. effectively LRR. Add a snare drum for a killer ruff. A way to develop this is to allow the movement of the pedal to breathe. This triplet I have found so useful that I cannot list all the applications in which I now use it.

And experimentation also led me to discover many extremely useful rhythms which were previously unplayable. For example try playing a songo rhythm and experiment with its variations, as it is possible to develop flam techniques which sit really well with Latin rhythms.

Most importantly, play what you play - and get used to hearing what The Duallist does. This is the best way to discover how you as an individual can use this pedal.

    The Science behind The Duallist

Why the Left Beater is as powerful as the Right?

Drummers are often amazed when they play The Duallist especially when they hear how powerful and equal the two beaters are. It seems to defy physics. How can a powerful down stroke on the footplate which powers the right beater, compare with simply lifting your foot up, which powers the left beater? The answer lies in the science behind The Duallist.

    The Left Beater Conundrum:

Simply explained The Duallist produces a right beater movement on the downstroke of the footplate and a left beater movement on the upstroke. It would appear that the upstroke or lifting of the foot produces the left beater movement. This is not actually the case. The powerful downward motion of the foot on the footplate has two functions:

Firstly it powers the forward motion of the right beater towards the drumhead.
Secondly in doing so it stores some of the downward motion as energy. This is produced by the two belts which turn the contra-rotating cams against two independently adjustable springs.

The kinetic energy stored in these specially developed MatchPower spring mechanisms is released when the footplate travels back up again. The right spring pulls the right beater away from the drum head and the left spring powers the left beater towards the drumhead. It is this stored energy which is released in a controlled manner by the upward motion of the foot. This is why the left beater is as strong as the right beater, it is actually being powered by the downward stroke of the foot and not the weaker upward movement.

    The Tests:

Independent tests have shown that the left beater is as strong as the right. The following waveform is taken from a test in a professional recording studio using a microphone placed 4.5 inches from a pillow-dampened bass drum. The first wave is the right beater and the second the left.

As well as the amplitude being equal the velocity of the two waveforms is almost identical demonstrating equal power and speed from both beaters.

The shape of the waveforms is also very similar. This is due to the close spacing of the beater heads hitting the same sweet spot on the drum head. This arrangement produces very similar timbres unlike some pedals with wider spaced beaters.

Similar tests have been carried out on the consistency and intervals between beaters on a variety of rhythms. These showed that the spacing between beats and therefore the controllability of the pedal was as good as or at times better than a professional drummer could achieve on a conventional double pedal. The Duallist also showed greater dynamics and the ability to alter the power of the beats more easily than heel-toe pedals.

    No Science Degree needed!

To summarise, the power is in the spring, the control is in the foot. The rate at which the foot is lifted up determines the interval and rate of power release of the spring. This makes The Duallist both powerful and highly controllable. The MatchPower springs have been developed with the help of leading Universities and use material which is highly efficient at storing and releasing energy time and time again while resisting fatigue. Of course the springs are only part of the equation and they work together with the belts, cam positions, beater heights, SpeedSwitch mechanism and other features to produce the award winning Duallist pedal. But don't worry about the science, the men in white lab coats have done the hard bit, now its to you to do the easy bit - play The Duallist.
