Welcome! I dig your music choice and your band name. I also do an 80's thing. People love it!
Is this thing on?
Hey all, I've been a member here for a year and thought maybe I should post something. I don't like to rush into stuff you know.
I am in a cover band called "Holy Spicoli". We play 80's pop and rock tunes, Think of early MTV I guess. Been in the band about a year now and am having a blast. We play out 4 or 5 times a month. I love this forum and use it for info. Thanks and talk to you next year

OK..OK!! I guess this thing IS on!
Thank you all for the warm welcome. I have questions so I suppose you will be putting up with me from time to time. I love this place. I get alot of info here, and most of it is true!
As far as my skins go, My basement kit is an 11 piece Tama something star kit from the 70's that don't have bottom heads. (i.e. Gil Moore from Triumph). I only have half of it set up right now. For gigs, I have a 5 piece Tama something star set from 04, they have bottom heads folks! I use 3 Roto toms and a Roland spd-20 that is awesome. My cymbals are 14" Sabian HH, 8" AA splash. the Zildjian's are; 16" med thin, 16" Impulse, 18" med, 22" med ride and an 18" low boy china. also a Meinl 18" classic china. Audix mics. And I hit all of that stuff with Pro mark Ed Shaughnessy's.
I type 3 words an hour so bear with me folks. Thanks again and i will talk to ya later.
so would that explain 11 months until the next post?
but seriously, welcome! i am fairly new myself, and i have just jumped right in and got involved. This is a great close knit group, with someone always willing to help
