I really liked the feel of the IC's. Ultimately though when I was making my choice of pedal, it came down to those or the Eliminator and the Iron Cobra felt obsolete in comparison.

Aunkster, I liked the DW 8000 pedal better than the Iron Cobra, but to be honest at the level of pedal that we're talking about it's all about what feels right to you. By all accounts, the Iron Cobras are great pedals.

I use a DW 5000 kick and hihat and would trade them for ICs in a heartbeat. I haven't tried the eliminators, but I have heard nothing but great reviews.

I use Pearl Elminators, but cobra would be my next choice. Both are great pedals just more options with the pearls.

I wish I would have seen those 8000's, PB. I got the 7000's and they are attached to my Pearl Masters. I have the IC's now on my StarClassics. In going from one to the other in a matter of seconds, I too found I liked the DW's better.

But I also found that the springs were set less tight so I went and adjusted the pedal springs to less tension on the IC's and they are closer in tension but still the DW's feel smoother. But not enough to not use the IC's.

I do like the IC's and was gigging with them for the last 5 years. I still will. Good choice, Aunkster. Having the hard case is a nice bonus, too.
