I'm so stoked

Hey Drum chatters,

Well some of you may have picked up on the fact that I am tryin out for a blues/funk band, my very first ever blues/funk band, I have always played in metal bands. Well I went and tried out last night, and it was so great, I had such a killer time, they were all very nice guys, and they just kept commenting on how well I played and how tight my groove was, they were even going off on how nice my snare drum sounded(they had a kit there, so I did not bring mine, just my snare and pedals), they just made me feel like a good drummer. These guys are all very seasoned players, that have been in the business quite a long time, here is the link to the leaders(Wayne)last band http://www.theboogiemonsters.com/home.html.
I am just so happy that they enjoyed my playing.

Okay...Enuf's enough. To many of you guys have multiple drum sets and now Keven gets to play in a THIRD band. C'mon, you can only play on one kit at a time and with one band at a time...share the wealth (OMG, did I actually say that?? My bad ). Just kidding, of course. Kevin, I'm real happy for you...It is such a rush when you get the recognition form your peers.

I honestly feel like my hard work is starting to pay off, the word of mouth is starting to spread in my town about my playing(that's how the guys in this band heard of me), I am involved in several online collaborations with guys from Poland, Australia, and California, I am working on recording an album with a band from California(End of Zen), and hopefully more to come, mostly because of my videos on youtube and myspace, it is such a rewarding feeling, I can honestly say I am very proud of myself, and am more motivated than ever before. I am just beyond excited.

Second of all, They are great guys. You obviously live here in Austin. I have shared the stage with them a few times. The bass player is an animal. a fantastic player. If you can hook up with them I would. You will be gigging. Did you do "Shotgun"? They do a killer version of that tune ;-)

Actually Wayne the leader of the boogie monsters, has moved to Wenatchee Washington, to be closer to his parents, who are ill. Yea I was very impressed with his old band, and he stated we would be doing several of his old bands material, and man I AM IN, I am there new drummer, and I am stoked. and you bet we will be doing ALOT of gigging and I am SO READY.
