No, not all the times. For example, Chad Smith uses a Jimmy Chamberlain snare most of the time, when he's recording or playing live with the Chili's. He only whips it out at clinics.
But, they are involved in the construction and design of the snare. They wouldn't put their name on it if they weren't happy about it. It's just a matter of preference and changing tastes.

to be honest ethel till today I still confuse about buying a snare drum for me
