Is it worth the buy? Because I am terrible at tuning.

TM, I have an Evans Torque Key, but I will tell you that it is not a substitute for learning how to tune a kit. When you put on new heads, or when you're putting the head back on after cleaning, you will finger tighten, and then the Torque Key can help you tighten the tension rods while maintaining even tension (and that depends on how well you keep the tension rods lubricated). Eventually, you will still need to fine tune the heads the old fashioned way. Even with the Torque Key, you'll still need the old tried & true drum key.

Yes in my opinion money well spent, I love mine...I can yune by ear but this little device gets right there real quick! I love it...Great at gigs etc..I write doen the tension I use and can easy run around the drums to double check...I have to say when I first used it It got my heads perfect, I didnt even have to tweak at all! Get one there great!
I was a little dismissive of this item so I was at my local store the other day and saw one for under $20 so I said what the hay and picked it up. I gotta say this is a great tool. Will it auto-tune your drums perfectly? No. But it will get you awfully close. I always considered myself a good tuner but this little gadget improved my tuning. So I have to admit I was wrong.

i would only suggest one if your totally tone deaf
its only a guide not magic
Not worth the money IMO!
I have to disagree guys. I think it is worth the $20. I can tune but this thing gets me close and it gets me there in a hurry. I can see this being really handy in a studio where the clock is ticking and you need to swap out a snare batter from an aggressive, loud head to a mellow one. This will pay for itself in the time you save.
Don't get me wrong, it doesn't get you there dead on most of the time but it'll get you close and with some fine tinkering you are good to go.
