elx out of those. i would recomend the gretsch catalina over any of those 3, birch or maple for the same prices.

well thanks for your help. im off to try them out anyway, i think its the sonor or the pearl. the only thing that puts me off the pearl is the poplar wood, where as the sonor is birch. i have it in my mind poplar isnt very good. anyway thnx

wood matters, i really am a pearl guy but i would not buy a pearl kit less than a sessions line.

ye thnx pple. i think the sonors look good. i can just about aford them. i was gonna get peace but im thinkin i might as well shell out for a better kit. no pun intended. the birch sonor is cheaper than the pearl tho strange. i take it sessions are like expensive,

the peace dominion is a pretty good drumkit. and yeah imo the session line is a little over priced. you can pick up a 5pc for about 1100 bucks

just stay away from yamaha...the only musical instrument they do well is the electric keyboard in my opinion...

I've used a mates Stage Custom kit, and it really wasn't all that it was cracked up to be.

I haven't heard much about the Sonor kits, so I can't help you there.

Out of those kits there I'd have the Pearl EXR, I was looking at one for a time, but ended up going for the Pearl SMX kit.

i cant help but disagree, stage customs are poop but top of the line yamaha is as good as ANYONE out there. the recording custom kit from the 80s and 90s were amazing and thier new products are awesome aswell. one should never doubt yamaha untill they have tried the oak customs(one of my favorite kits of all time). my buddy also has a super bad$$ yamaha bass guitar that is one of the nicest ive ever heard or seen.
