birch all the way.
birch all the way.
birch fo sho. it's so much better. sadly i have a poplar drumset...
holla
Depends on what you are playing...birch is very bright, and tends to be a higher-pitched wood...maple would be best for all-around rock drumming, as maple has slightly lower tonal values and tends to resonate more than birch.
Word to the wise : don't mess with the drummer.
im with maple all the way..................GO MAPLE!!!
i decided to not have a signature here because it would be a waste of time to type it

not looked at this for a while. i got the birch sonors. i like them. sound nice. i could of had a peace maple kit. but i think a sonor birch kit would be better. i couldnt seem to find a mapel kit for the same of a good qauilty for around the same price as the birch. thankyou for the help tho
In my experience I have come to learn that the guys at Guitar Center are more concerned with the sale. I dont know if they work on comission or not.Originally Posted by lhebs0
As far as the what started this thread. Of the two choices you gave Birch is definately better than poplar. My personal preference is maple though. It all depends on the style you are going to be playing.
