    Default DTXppress iv special

I have the special, but the 1 zone cymbal as stopped working and I have ordered a iv special 3 zone to replace it, my question is am I going to be able to use all 3 zones on it or because it was a single zone is the brain equipt to only shoot single zone out of that output?? The other question I have is add ons, I have seen on you tube that guys have 5-6 cymbals and extra toms on their iv special, are they running splitters in the out puts or have they purchased a 2nd brain?

Page 9 of the DTXpress IV manual states:

Input 1 (snare) is 3 zone capable
Input 2 (tom) can be split for 2 mono pads
Input 3 (tom) can be split for 2 mono pads
Input 4 (tom) can be split for 2 mono pads
Input 5 (ride) is 3 zone capable
Input 6 (crash) is 3 zone capable
    Input 7 (hihat)
Input 8 (kick) can be split for 2 mono pads

So using a y-cable (one 1/4" stereo male into two 1/4" mono female) on inputs 2/3/4/8 will allow you to add 4 additional mono pads to your module. Have fun.
