Yes, you did. Looks like it works. You happy with it or is it too soon to tell?

I'm thinking about doing that to my DW Performance BD.

You hear all the talk about virgin drums sounding better. Do you notice any difference?

It all still sounds very good. I am very happy about how it all works now. My hardware box is lighter, and I can position the toms where I want them. I also have a single tom arm that will fit into the bass drum mount, so I can go one up and one down if I decide to do that. Peace and goodwill.

Today, I set it up as a four-piece kit. I also changed the two crash cymbals, Now they are a 16" AA Thin Crash and an 18" AAX Studio Crash. Peace and goodwill.

Here are my two Mapex snares. The dark one is an Armory Sabre 14x5.5, and the light one is an MPX 13x6 Birch. Peace and goodwill.

The Armory snare above is at church now. I no longer own the 13x6 MPX birch snare above. But I did buy a Mapex MPX 14x8 snare three days ago. Peace and goodwill.

I have a Mapex Black Panther snare sitting in my spare room for the last 4-5 years. Maybe I'll turn it into a tom.
