    Default D-Drum triggers

I have owned for several years the D-Drum red shot triggers. My bass is a XLR type plug, or hook up, but the toms and snare are 1/4'' type plug. These triggers have never given me a problem except the 1/4'' plugs let the chord come loose while your are playing. I have to put tape on the chord and then wrap it around the trigger housing to use them. Anyone else run into this problem?

I have tried this, and it dont stay. As soon as you plug it back in it bends to the weak point again. I guess they are just weak contact bands. I wish that I had of bought the XLR type plugs. Thanks for the input!!
