I am a Pearl guy from years back.. wouldn't play anything but Pearl for close to 15 years! Great drums! I have my eye on a VSX (Vision) kit now for gig use..Just great drums!
I agree on the 2000 series HW! The other cool thing about it is, when you are not using it on the kit, you can dock a barge with just a stand or two! lol

Hello to everyone from Fort Lauderdale. These are all some really sweet kits you all posted here. I grew up playing Ludwigs and took a break from drumming for a decade. I bought my first Pearl Kit about six months ago and dollar for dollar it's amazing. I really need to drop some $$$ on a pair of Iron Cobras© and Some Zildjian© A custom cymbals to make this all sound right. It's so good to be back in the saddle again! Anyway, here's my kit...

I'm not a barge guy so I don't know about that, but I chain the cymbal stands to my ATV and pull out tree stumps when I don't need em for a gig. The ATV would break before the stands would.

    Default My Pearl VSX

I suppose. I have pix all over these boards now..

I got these to ease the pain of my dear departed Renowns (joking)
Actually, I got them to use for an in the cases ready to go gig kit. My other set has been relegated to rehearsal/recording duties.

It was one of those right place at the right time deals. MF was blowing these N.O.Stock '07 VSXs out! What's cool here is not only what I paid for these drums, but the fact that they are '07 model Visions, they have the brass lug receivers and iso gaskets for the casing to shell!

Ask anyone on here who owns Pearl drums and they will tell you the build quality is awesome and the attention to detail impeccable.
I love the fact that Pearl produces every part of their drums from the shells to the shiny bits attached to them..all Pearl!

I am still a Gretsch fanatic and you will see me owning another Catalina Maple around fall. I have been a Pearl aficionado for some years and they still know how to do drums!

Hey guys- I am proud to say that i am a new Pearl Vision VSX owner as well!! I just got my set last night. I have been a big Tama fan for many years and still play on a rockstar set in a different location, but now....i can say they these pearls are by far more impressive. I got a steal of a deal on them with hardware and all. Added my newly receive Pearl "D" drive doubles to them and wow. I am for sure a Pearl man now. Keep it rocking guys!!

Hey just a random question, but if you're not a fan of blue drums why would you order blue drums? Just wondering...

The Strata blue was about $200. cheaper at M-F. That was enough to make me like them.
