    there was an issue.

seems that ordering a non-virgin bass drum with the mount doesn't mean you also ordered the double tom mount to put in it.

    Proudly playing:
    Doc Sweeney Drums
    A bunch of snares
    A bunch of cymbals

    Off-Set double pedals

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

Time's have sure changed. Back in the late 90's when I got my yamies I got the tom mount!. . . .and more. I'm sure Tama was the same way!

to be fair, i technically ordered drums by piece... not a preconfigured set. So perhaps that is the reason it was not included.

anyhow, heres a pic of it somewhat setup. The 12" tom is still in the box on the floor and I didn't get the STAR snare yet. Otherwise, the finish is great, the bass drum is a miniature cannon, and I love it so far!

One year ago I had a Tama Starclassic BB kit. I loved the sound of it but wasn't to happy with the 2 up 2 down config. Can't get used to having two floortoms.
But I loved the sound of them.

I had to sell them though for economic reasons.

I have since then bought new drums as can be seen in my signature although I traded one of those kits for a Benny Greb signature snare and some cash.

I love the sound of my Yamahas. Great sounding quality drums.

I have been on the look out for an 8" tom but it seems impossible to find.

    I really want a 3 up 1 down setup.

So the guy I traded one of the Yamaha kits for the Greb snare put out an add where he was looking for some more sizes to his new, (my old), Yamaha kit. He didn't have any luck either.
He also put out an add to sell the kit he had before my old kit.

And it happened to be a Tama Starclassic BB hyperdrive in Dark Cherry Fade in the exact sizes and setup I want. .
I contacted him so now we are trading kits

So in 7 days I get a Starclassic BB hyperdrive in the sizes 8", 10", 12", 16", 22". I also get some kind of Tama Snare drum and some gig bags.

I'm a happy camper and can't wait to get the kit. Pics when I get it.

I remember when I got my previous Starclassic BB Hyperdrive. I didn't want to stop playing them. They were fun to play and got my creativity flowing.

The Yamahas sounds at least equally good but I don't get the same feeling playing them.

I'd have to say that's one of the most beautiful finishes I've ever seen. I love the badges as well.

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

So, I did my first gig with the new kit yesterday. It's only part of the kit but of course it delivered. It was an outside gig by the ocean and it was freezing cold

Also if you would like to listen to my other band, "Livet", which in English means "Life", we just got our new EP out on Spotify today.
The lyrics are in Swedish but the music is good nevertheless:-)
