don't put off till tomorrow what you can put off today
Hadnt even thought to take pictures of a build sequence unfortunately. I'll have to do that the next time I set it up.
I'll see if I have a clear pic of the hi hat stand so you can see it, but the hi hat is connected to the 24" kick with their hi hat stabilization clamp.
Connected to the high hat, there's a dw double Tom clamp which has the 13 inch tom and a dogbone with a cymbal arm that holds the 18" china. I'll have to get back to you with a pic.
The only two constants I have are DW and Zildjian.
Very cool bass drum clamp. I need to find other alternatives to attaching a no leg hihat stand to either a stand or rack. Your set looks close to how I want mine set up without a rack. Thanks again!
Edit:
Looking for a close up of this area highlighted in the yellow box:

Here's about as close as I can get with my current photos. I'll take some more later this week if these aren't clear enough.
Here's a close in on the DW clamp which has the ball L-Arms. The one facing towards the player has the 13" tom. The one facing away from the player holds the dogbone that has the china cymbal.
The only two constants I have are DW and Zildjian.
Hello DW owners.
I don't know where else to post this so here goes...
I'm interested in getting a new DW partial kit in a couple of months. I'll be keeping my cymbals, pedals, etc and my DW 6.5" x 14" s/s snare.
I'm looking at picking up the drums listed below:
16" x 24" kick;
10" x 14" tom;
16" x 16" ft and
16" x 18" ft.
I'm looking for opinions on the Collectors Series maple and maple/mahogany sets since I won't be able to try them out.
The maple/mahogany sets sound incredible on Youtube...but what does that prove?
Your opinions/experiences are much appreciated.
Thank you.
Rich
DW drums and Paiste cymbals.
the MM collectors sound really good in person as well. Lower frequencies are louder. Not as bright or "singy" as their typical maple kit.
The only two constants I have are DW and Zildjian.
Hey does anyone know where I can find Collectors Snare lugs? Ive looked on DWs site which has everything but lugs along with some other sites.
DW doesn't sell their lugs directly because they want to protect their brand. They will replace damaged lugs, but you have to send in the damaged lugs for the replacement.
In order to buy lugs, you have to look at other websites, I had good luck on ebay purchasing lugs for my 10" orphan shell that I had refinished. They range from way overpriced to the occasionally reasonably priced set of lugs. It's about timing, a bit of luck, etc.
The only two constants I have are DW and Zildjian.
You can get lugs that are close but not exact on the drum building sites, also look on the web for used Camco lugs, same thing, well, DW is the same as Camco ;-)
Maybe gives Dale's Drum Shop a call here in Harrisburg. They are a huge DW dealer and might be able to help you out.
Hi All
I'm thinking maybe I should have posted the following here...

Ordered an 8" collectors tom today, the empty tom mount on my double tom holder was lonely.
