Unfortunately some of the other pictures were taken from a camera angle this site doesn't like and continues to set them sideways. Some will not be available here.

Here is the complete shell bank. Now I'll start peeling it back to a realistic usable kit.

Man is that a beauty! Wow! ... Reminds me of when I was in high school and I had pictures of massive kits like that all over the cover of my notebook.
Wow. That's a lot of drums. Noice.

In high school I had a 5 up ,1 down double bass set. Red sparkle.three different makes. Looked pretty cool. A pain to transport and set up but a lot of fun to play.

Boy o boy that is some kit man that would blow the roof off any venue have you got a truck to cart them around to gigs way to go man let's rock n roll 1234![]()
Anyone what are ya thoughts on the Yamaha tour customs are they the top end of kits I no the Absolutes are like Bishs kit so what are the tours classed at I see there going for around 5000 bucks for a 4 peice shell pack that's NZ bucks it seems very pricey to me highway robbery anyway thats how the cookie crumbles way to go let's rock n roll excuse me about no punctuation I was never good at English punctuation hope ya haven't lost your breath reading this crap![]()
I have a 6 piece Yamaha Stage Custom in Cranberry and I just rescued a 5 piece Yamaha Rydeen kit from the curbside. I had to drive an hour and half but it was free including stands and two cymbals. It needs rewrapping.![]()
Acoustic Drums: Yamaha Stage Custom standard Cranberry Red 10, 12, 13, 16, 22, 5X14 Stainless Yamaha snare
Cymbals: Paiste 502 14" HH, 16" Crash, Paiste 802 16" crash and 20" Ride, 1, Paiste 404 18" crash, Paiste PST7 hi hats and 20" Ride. Paiste 8" and 10" splashes.
I used a Rydeen set for a rehearsal room for a few years....good enough for practice.
I got the bass to sound good;
The toms are just OK....not great;
The snare is obnoxious....very sharp and too loud....ditch that.

Well, at least they were rescued. Yeah, I hear you about the pets.
Man that's incredible... glad you picked them up.
Looks like a cow bell in there too.

I picked up a Yamaha Stage Custom kit last week as a practice/teaching kit. I was surprised at the punch. However, the toms are a little boxy sounding. Don't really know how to describe that but they don't seem to resonate the way I'm used to from maple shells. Anyone else have that same experience?
I haven't experienced that. My toms ring out nicely from the moment I brought them home. Mine is circa 2000 (and 1999). 2nd generation. I'm very happy with them and use them as my gigging kit.

I was looking at an on-line music store and they had a couple of sets of Yamaha drums. A 5 piece shell pack that, when all is said and done, will sound like most 5 piece good drum sets and the price $5,049 and small change. Yamaha makes good drums, but they are not that good.
