The 13" tom, 18", 20", and 24" bass drums, and 6.5" x 14" snare drum all came in to complete my USA Custom shell bank. :D

I've never been that crazy about sparkle but love that finish! I guess I like it in silver, lol.

Everyone loves FREE... like this free drum forum. But like your car and even your drums, they require upkeep and maintenance and that requires money.

I know from working with Drum Bum through the years, that this forum is costly to run. It requires server fees, hosting, ongoing moderation, advertising, software upgrades, security certificates and IT work when it breaks. All in addition to the expenses that come from running a business. These costs are offset (hopefully) by members that click through to Drum Bum to make a purchase now and then, if not make a contribution to help keep it running.

I’ve mentioned on here that I’ve put together a Gretsch USA Custom shell bank. Tonight I’ve been rearranging cases and I thought that it would be a good time to take a photo of the whole “gang”. Well, here they are...

    Hi All,

First post here. Iím the proud new owner of a used satin white Renown rock 3 piece (13, 16, 24). Also picking up tomorrow a very gently used US Custom 6.5 x 14 bronze snare. Excited to say the least.

The set was gigged and needs a cleaning. A first past with damp microfiber on the 13 took up a lot of the grime. However, there are some smudge-like areas that this was not able to remove. My question - 1) is this a standard lacquer finish and 2) does anyone know a good method for these particular drums to remove more stubborn smudges and marks? None seem to be damaging the finish in anyway. They all appear to be surface level.

    Here are some pics.

Not very noticeable from a distance.
