I've always love him and Rush, but haven't followed them in a long time. The guys is just awesome, even if the solo isn't totally "jazz".

Definitely inspires one to practice!

His chops are just sick. I have to find the time to practice more. The hard part is work and family. Although my band practices about once a week, we haven't played out much in years other than charity gigs, and I find it harder and harder to take to sit and practice.

I can relate. Working full time...and rotating 24 hour shifts mind you, with a wife, a 3yr old and a 2 yr old. Practice and gigs with the band doesn't leave a lot of time in there just for me. But that's one thing I hope to change here soon after I get the new kit.

You have a little worse than me. I'm a teacher so my schedule isn't awful, but I work for my father part time also, and tutor, since it's hard to get by with two kids, two dogs, house, etc...

My kids are 5 and 14, so less demanding in many ways, but more in others!

LOL, I almost can't wait until they get a little older and more independant...but I know I will miss them being so little and in awe of everything that happens throughout the day. And I hear ya on the dogs thing, got two myself...one which weighs 140lbs!! The bad part about my job is when I take a 6 month vacation to the desert every once in a while...talk about going through drum withdraws!!
